Magic Director - John Thompson

Having great faith and vision in MAGICBOX, illusion designer and magician, John Thompson, believes that this story within a theatre production will bring to life many new and unusual forms of magic. “With illusion as its driving force, a majority of the acts performed will definitely be one-of-a-kind and very much on par with the big international names in the industry today. Involving audience participation and interaction, the performance will move like a sci-fi movie as the magic draws you in further, making each illusion more captivating than ever before.” - John Thompson.

Magic Consultant - Jim Steinmeyer

Designer and inventor of illusions and theatrical special effects, Jim Steinmeyer is looking forward to collaborating with Lawrence and Priscilla once again for MAGICBOX. “Lawrence Khong’s illusions are part of the grand tradition of magic in the theatre – an ancient art that has been modernised and now combined with storytelling. He’s a master at marvels, and his results are marvellous.” - Jim Steinmeyer.

Magic Choreographer - Joanie Spina

Equipped with an extensive background in directing and choreography, Joanie Spina enjoys the creative process with Lawrence and Priscilla. “Coming from a theatrical background, I thoroughly believe that this production that merges magic with an engaging storyline will be a stellar performance.” - Joanie Spina.

Artistic / Stage Director - Loretta Chen

The multi-talented Loretta has experience as an actor, host and director, the last of which has led to many sold out seasons, internationally acclaimed and successful productions. “MAGICBOX is a dream come true for anyone working with theatre and magic. The phrase “the magic of theatre” is bandied about often enough but this production, quite literally, strives to achieve that. With a formidable cast of actors and an internationally acclaimed production team, it is set to create history with this Asian premiere of what I would call Magical Theatre,” - Loretta Chen.
