20-year-old
Jeremy is a member of Singapore Association of Magicians
and International Brotherhood of Magicians.
He started his act with rope tricks and proceeded
to card manipulations. His movements were self-assured
and well-timed to a brisk soundtrack.

Runner Up!
25-year-old
Charlie was a dark horse. Apparently he was just passing
through town and jumped on the Close-up Competition
bandwagon. His act started with three cups and balls,
and finished with four oranges and a huge melon. He
also produced a full can of Coke from his shoe, and
proceeded to drink it up!

Runner-Up!
Cards
seem to be de rigueur at this party. Nique manipulates
cards deftly. He had an audience volunteer to examine
his cards close-up. His act was confident and fast,
his hands very steady; and he won enthusiastic response
from the viewers.
STASH
, Japan Special
Mention Award!
A side-splitting act comprising four sketches. This
duo is seriously funny. Sidekick Hioki retorts "Really?!"
in the drollest manner; it became the catchword for
the night. They identified marked cards and made a
clever innovation of the traditional cut-and-restore
rope trick. Although they did not win points for their
magic, they won Special Mention for being the most
comic act.
